Myrbetriq is a prescription medicine for adults used to treat
overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms of urgency, frequency and leakage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is overactive bladder (OAB)?

OAB is a medical condition involving urine storage in the body. OAB can happen when nerve signals between your bladder and brain tell your bladder to empty even when it isn't full. This may cause your bladder muscles to contract to pass urine before they should. These contractions cause the sudden, strong urgency to urinate or cause leakage.

Isn't OAB something that happens to everyone when they get older?

OAB is not a normal part of aging. It is a medical condition that may be helped with appropriate treatment.

Learn more

What causes OAB symptoms?

OAB symptoms such as frequency, urgency, and urine leakage occur with uncontrolled contractions of the bladder muscle. Medical reasons for this can be unknown. Talk to your healthcare professional (HCP) about your OAB symptoms and what treatment option is appropriate for you.

What can be done for OAB symptoms?

When a diagnosis of OAB is made, your healthcare professional (HCP) might suggest dietary and lifestyle changes and/or a prescription medicine. You can also sign up for the Momentum Program, a program that offers information about OAB management including practical tips, expert advice, and unique tools.

Can I treat my OAB symptoms on my own?

OAB is a medical condition that requires proper diagnosis and treatment. Your healthcare professional (HCP) should determine the appropriate method of treatment for your OAB symptoms. Following that treatment program and sticking with it is your best course of action.
